I liked his music at first, but just like Damien Rice, he's been overplayed to death.

Thank god he's an unknown in the US, I heard "You're Beautiful" in Dolce and Gabbana's last men's show and loved it, then downloaded half the album. I'm still not sick of it.

I've played him to the level that I can't stand his album anymore within the last year. Only now I'm the victim of my own converting actions as I turned my mom into a loyal fan. And also the radio.. all stations play You're Beautiful non stop. Whereas High was better and more catchy imo it really didn't catch on here

"It's touching that the monkey sits on my shoulder
He's waiting for the day when he gets me"

Never quite understood what he meant by it but I've always liked it, the whole monkey king thing :P My fave songs are/were So Long, Jimmy and Wisemen.

I'm a fan of Wisemen also, and Goodbye My Lover.

This dude's voice really rubs me up the wrong way. The falsetto is a bit too much.
He does however have a really cool background story. He comes from an upper class background and went to Eton then went to serve the army and was posted in Bosnia. I think some of his songs are about that experience.

This is his first. I believe it's really his first first work, there are no undiscovered demos from when he was 18 to be found when he's dead. I may be wrong but I think this is what I read. And he's 28, claims to be 5' 8" but having seen him myself he's an inch shorter than that :P

^ I cannot stand his voice! It drives me up the wall. Even if he isn't, he sounds as though he is putting on a falsetto. Eugh.

^ Erm how do I explain this? 'Fair dos' is like 'I see where you are coming from' or 'I think your point is fair'. As for dude well it is California surfer bum slang for 'man'... which is also California surfer bum slang. Drat. How bout 'mate' -'dude' is like the British 'mate'. Ok I give up. My attempts at slang have gone down the pan plus slang doesn't suit me!
