Ok this is really weird! I have been thinking about Jane Fonda for a few months now as a fashion inspiration. I just recently stumbled upon Barbarella. While I knew about the film, I had never seen it. I actually like her clothes in that movie and some of them remind me quite a bit of the balenciaga s/s 07 show!

I just watched her THIS weekend in "They Shoot Horses Don't They" I never realized what a good actress she is! And I love the clothes she wears in that movie: Depression era, sort of purposely frumpy stuff with drop waists. High heeled sandals with rumpled socks and a wavy bob

I liked her in the shag as well. Her whole family is gorgeous. I had a crush on Peter during his Easy Rider, DirtyMaryCrazyLarry days. Oh... almost forgot. My scan from Playboy Magazine, 1971 December.

Gah so gorgeous, she was such a stunner in the sixties.

In August they're having Jane Fonda Day on TCM and I can't wait to see some of her movies from that period which I hadn't been able to find otherwise
