Gosh, she used to be so gorgeous. I don't know, personally, I think she is absolutely hilarious. She's blunt and a b*tch, yet knows what the hell she's talking about.

Onetime America's Next Top Model judge Janice Dickinson serves up some beefcake (that would be Paul, left, and Sorin) at the ribbon cutting ceremony for her own Los Angeles modeling agency Wednesday.

Depends on what your goal is ;) Although, I think her success in snatching the celeb cuties was largely due to her being a successful model, and great looker, so that's just not that easy for anybody to do in their dating routine, I guess.

I don't agree with her statement. The modeling industry changed, thus models are doing both print and runway since the mid 70s, but a supermodel is a model whom everyone knows about and who is successful in high fashion. That is, Twiggy, Lauren Hutton, Jean Shrimpton and Verushka before Janice. And possibly Beverly Johnson too. If it had been the custom for the print models to do runway at the time, they would have. Thus, to say that they are not supermodels is like saying that there were no color green before people put a name on it. Or to say that there were no superstars before television, although everyone knew and adored Garbo, Dietrich, Jean Harlow and Rudolf Valentino.

Having said that, I have to say that Janice could be the only ubermodel since she does high fashion, commercial fashion, fantastic tv appearances and writes excellent books (well, at least one). She's like a pop version of the renaissance (wo)man. And she's definitely the ultimate comeback queen for sure.

Love your analysis! I do agree the definition of "supermodel" changes with time. Janice Dickinson seems think that she has revolutionise a new mould of being a supermodel. Still, it's quite an inspiring model of "surthrival". Another term that Janice coined! She has survived and is thriving! I luv her working ethnics and professionalism. She is certainly one of the most hard-working model like Linda Evangelista. And personally, I think that she knows more about fashion and modeling that any of the judges in ANTM. Btw, is that guy in blazer and jeans his son? I've seen him in Janice's documentary! Quite good-looking indeed!

Not to mention she was married like 3 times!

Janice Dickinson told The Book Standard that Britney Spears is in desperate need of a makeover and should dump Kevin Federline. She says:
“I never found him hot at all. But she’s a hick anyway. She needs to get hot again. Stop clomping around in those Malibu flip-flops. I would tar and feather her first of all, tell her to dump that [bleeping] hick husband of hers. She needs solid advice, and not from Hicksville.”

I think she is still gorgeous, even though she is fake. She is just plain beautiful no matter what!

I only knew of her by reading the biography of Gia Carangi (and watching the documentaries!)

^ Janice was really well known in the 1980s partly for her modeling, partly for being a complete party girl who lived at Studio 54. She was a great model regardless. There's a pic of her done by Peter Beard I think where she's posing with a cheetah and she is amazing.

I know what pic you mean. I only saw an outtake from that shoot in Lifeguard but I want to see the actual pic.
