I feel like he is the only one perpetuating the spirit of ODLR and CH. This is undeniably American in it « Couture » spirit. It’s beautiful, comfortable, safe and unpretentious.
Unfortunately at CH and ODLR today, we see designers expressing their frustration to not be at a French Couture house and they are loosing their identity.
I particularly like the « flou tailoring ». It’s fresh!
Good collection from Jason Wu. I hope he will keep this direction…

It's really pretty, one of the high light of NY. Wish he has more hype because he really got the skills and really honest in his approach.
But I don't think this really American, no. I see a few shades of Valentino in this. Does "couture" really in the spirit of NY?
