Her role seems to be really interesting from what I read on internet, it's about a ruthless woman that will do everything to help her husband succeed on the timber business but then when she finds out that she can't have kids she decides to kill her husband's illegitimate son.
Let's see if she can pull this off!

^ acting wise I think she can pull it off, the only doubt I have it's her age, she looks too young to play the character. but then again people tended to marry young during that time...
And if anyone have the chance I highly recommend "The Poker House" she's terrific in it and Selma Blair is completely unrecognizable and also amazing in her performance.

Serena sounds like a really interesting story and I'll have to check out the book now. Also, I love that Jennifer's worked with a several female directors; Debra Granik (Winters Bone), Jodie Foster (The Beaver), and Susanne Bier (Serena). It's nice to see especially since their are so few female directors in Hollywood.

Serena is one of my favorite books, but I'm a little worried about her playing the title role. Someone like Charlize Theron or Cate Blanchett fits the description better, so it's a bit jarring that she was cast.

i think she's doing second THG after she finishes the one she's working on atm, starting in may or june. that's why they put off the X-Man sequel for next year.

I've just started noticing her in other things. I was watching Monk the other day, and there she was in a big Mouse Mascott costume. She had a guest role in Medium too. I'm still in awe of Winters Bone though......she was amazing in that.
