I love how British Vogue styled her in cozy sweater's and simple makeup. Jennifer tends to look most like herself when she's dressed down. It's nice to see that they didn't attempt to really glam her up for the editorial. And that was a lovely interview with her too, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the Vogue pics I really love the colour of her eyes, I agree with Not Plain Jane they are very soulful. The pics are very simple but I like them. She looks very natural and at ease here.

This morning Christian Dior announced that Jennifer Lawrence has become the new face of Dior, and will appear in the new Spring/Summer 2013 Miss Dior bag advertising campaigns.

The ‘Hunger Games’ actress will be taking over from Mila Kunis who has appeared in ads for the past two seasons.

This collaboration marks the first time the acclaimed young actress has collaborated with a luxury brand.

“It’s such a dream to represent an iconic brand that is synonymous with high fashion,” said Lawrence. “I’m so excited to be working with the fashion house and wear the new creations by Raf Simons. His most recent Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear collections glamorously capture the modern era at Dior.”

I guess that means we will see more of Jennifer wearing Dior.

You may remember she wore a Dior Couture dress recently, along with two ready-to-wear looks, so are you excited at the prospect of seeing her wearing more Dior in future?

The bag advertising campaign will debut worldwide in March 2013.

^I agree. The statement sounds too polished, I'm not sure she (or really, anyone) would phrase it like that, definitely written by PR people. That said, this is really great news, and I'm interested to see what the campaign end's up looking like.

Who didn't see this coming? She started to wear a lot of Dior recently out of the blue.

I know people said Mila Kunis didn't fit the Dior brand (whether she's still in Dior or not is yet to be nailed down), but I don't see how Jennifer fits it. That TIFF dress she wore looked like a hanging bloody tampon on her. But if red carpet exposure is what they're trying to get, they'll probably get that with her via teen award shows for Hunger Games and majors for the awards Oscar and GG predictors are penning her for.

Mmm, I'm definitely not optmistic about what this means for her future red carpet appearences though - I hope we'll see a little more variety than straight Dior.

She's an icon in the making who is universally adored by her peers and industry superiors (Donald Sutherland, Michael Fassbender etc...) so who can blaim Dior for snapping her up? She's not mega-glam and polished all the time but that kind of works with the idea of Raf's new Dior woman. I'm excited to see what they come up with.

The first image that popped in my mind when I read the news was Blake Lively´s Gucci ad, I think Jennifer can look as glamorous and sexy... I hope the ads will exploit that side of her (even though that doesnt seem likely, it´s just wishful thinking).
