Jennifer Lawrence

Ammarra: THG has amazing pre-sales so i'm sure it will be a success.
and i love that quote as well, i'm sick of these whiny girls who complain about stupid crap like that.

That's a great news :) I just brought the books. Hopefully they are good :)

Two of my favorite interviews of her from the Burning Plain/Winter Bone times. I wonder if we will keep getting more of those now that she is probably going to become really big :)

I keep going to my newsagents in the hope that Jennifer's UK Glamour cover is on the shelves but it isn't yet. I love her quote on Hollywood.

Love seeing Jennifer on both editions of Glamour magazine. It's not a magazine that I usually look at but Jen looks fantastic. I really like the shot of her in the suit... she looks curvy and it's nice to see someone with that body-type in the magazines. And the interview quotes are wonderful and so spot on (about Hollywood and British boys).

I bought Glamour UK today and she looks so beautiful and she sounds so incredibly refreshing.

Jennifer Lawrence wears Elie Tahari and Lucky on the cover of Glamour‘s April 2012 issue.
Here’s what the 21-year-old Hunger Games actress had to share:
On dieting: “I don’t diet. I do exercise! But I don’t diet. You can’t work when you’re hungry, you know?”
On adjusting to fame: “Just recently I started letting myself eat things from the minibar. When we were kids, we would never open the minibar. A $6 Snickers bar? But the other day I was in a hotel and I was staring at a Snickers bar, and I finally just ate it. Then it was like something in me snapped. I opened all these drinks. I thought: I can do it now. Now I’m all grown-up. I can eat things from the minibar.”
On life in the public eye: “In some ways, it’s a hard life, but it’s a great professional life. I’m doing what I love, and then I get months and months of rest. I have a lot of money for a 21-year-old. I can’t stand it when actors complain.”

Jennifer Lawrence beat out scores of young actresses for the kick-*** lead role of Katniss Everdeen in this month’s The Hunger Games (and landed at number one on your hottest-celebs list). In her interview with Willa Paskin, she tells us whose team (Gale or Peeta) she’s really on, whose death in the movie hit her the hardest and why she can’t stand it when actors complain. Read on for a sneak peek! The Kentucky-born Lawrence, who was nominated for an Academy Award last year for her gritty work in Winter’s Bone, knows that her life is about to change. Big-time. The Hunger Games is being heralded as the next Twilight, with all of the box office expectations that entails. But instead of vampires, this story has a fight-to-the-death reality show, political conspiracies and the brutal deaths of small children. In other words, Lawrence isn’t just playing the next Bella Swan; she’s also playing the next Jason Bourne.
In the weeks leading up to the release of the film, Lawrence, who laughs often and quickly—at herself as much as everything else—has intentionally been taking it easy, hanging out with her friends, surfing, going grocery shopping and mentally preparing for what’s to come. May the odds be ever in her favor.

GLAMOUR: So, are you ready?
JENNIFER LAWRENCE: I feel like I’m in the eye of the hurricane right now. I just recently started cleaning like I’m insane, and I’m starting to think it’s my anxiety over the movie. I think it’s a bit like, “I’m just cleaning the refrigerator handle. The movie’s not coming out. I’m going to clean it spotless, and then my life will not change.” It’s just scary. I feel like I got a ticket to go to another planet and I’m moving there and there’s no turning back, and I don’t know if I’m going to like that other planet or have friends there. It’s daunting.

GLAMOUR: But you thought about all of this before you took the job, right?
JENNIFER LAWRENCE: I gave myself three days. I knew from reading the books that I loved The Hunger Games. I just didn’t know if it was worth changing my life for. I’m at a peaceful place right now. The people who used to ignore me at parties, now they’re nice to me and kissing my ***. But nobody’s staked outside of my house. I wanted to make sure that when I said yes, I wouldn’t regret it. And I don’t regret it. I would have said no because I was scared, and then I would have been that bitter actress telling my grandkids, “I’m the one that turned it down.”
GLAMOUR: Being very famous does seem crazy-making….

“When I heard they were making the movie, I was like, ‘oh, that’s nice—they’re going to ruin another great book.’ But then I met Gary [Ross, the director], and he was unbelievable and brilliant and genius.”

“I hate saying, ‘I like exercising.’ I want to punch people who say that in the face. But it’s nice being in shape for a movie, because they basically do it all for you. It’s like, ‘Here’s your trainer. This is what you can eat.’”

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's a little annoyed that Glamour said that Jennifer's, "playing the next Jason Bourne?" It doesn't seem like the right comparison because they seem like totally different characters. I understand that they probably meant that it's a big role but I don't think Katniss should be herald as an "action star." That implies that she chose to become that sort of person but Katniss was forced into that situation and she feels the emotions when she kills people or when her friends die. But when I think of "action/hero's" they don't really seem to think this way. Sorry if I seem nit-picky about one line in an article but it's something that rubbed me the wrong way. Just call me a super fan! Anyways, once again, it has to be said Jennifer looks lovely in the editorial for Glamour! I really like the middle photograph from post #486.

I'm so happy they didn't photo shop her to death on the cover of Glamour..her body is amazing!

She is so charming in all her interviews ^_^

She really isn't who I imagined Katniss to be but I'm looking forward to THG none the less!

^Agreed. I thought I wasn't excited about the movie, but now that we're getting closer, I can't wait! :D

thanks so much for posting (i love Josh Horowitz), her looked amazing back then

and even "The Hutch" looks good in the interview

i liked her ever since Winter's bone, but my liking is going to "loving" ever since she's getting more spotlight hence us getting more "material" on her. she's so mellow and calm and genuinely enjoying every minute of her job, you can tell. overall, she seems to "fight" HW standards on every level (not in a rebel kind of a way, more in like totally ignoring them) and i really like that about her. she's gonna stick for awhile i think, really great chance to have a long lasting career - she has the looks for blockbusters and talent for every other sort of the movie out there.

^I just hope to god that this film doesn't suck like Twilight because the fanbase is as annoying as the Twihards.

^Well, on every Jennifer Lawrence-related video I go to on youtube, there is always a group of people who just type "Katniss" and nothing else.
