Jennifer Lawrence

^I feel like I have seen the picture on that cover before. Is it a re-print?

She's on the cover of Time Magazine as one of their 100 most influential.
Jennifer Lawrence

Actor, 22
By Jodie Foster
You’ll remember where you were when you first felt it, how you were stuck to one spot like a small animal considering its end. The Jennifer Lawrence Stare. It cuts a searing swath in your gut. A reckoning. I remember going to the cutting rooms of Winter’s Bone. I thought, Sure, this girl can act. But, man, this girl can also just be. All of those painful secrets in her face, the feeling that there’s some terrible past that’s left impossibly angled bone and weariness in its wake. She’s worn from the pain of living — something none of her characters would ever have the energy to articulate. It’s just part of her, like skin and muscle. The good news is that Jen, her good-humored, ballsy, free-spirited alter ego with the husky voice and a propensity for junk food … Jen, the spritely tomboy from Kentucky — that Jen’s got it together. A hoot. A gem. A gem with a killer stare.

What is going on with her lips? For an actor who can project so much with such subtlety on screen her 'minimalist' shoots make her look completely expressionless. There's none of the 'killer stare' or 'ballsy' nature that the excerpt speaks of.

I also noticed that even though her "killer stare" is emphasized in the article, she isn't even looking at us in the pictures. She has great bonestructure, but I don't think shots that empasize that alone are necessarily to her advantage.

She's not photogenic, she doesn't know her angles and I get the feeling she feels very uncomfortable just standing and posing for people. That's why she usually looks stiff and forced on the red carpet too. In motion I find her very pretty, but photographs rarely capture her beauty IMO.

:judge: She's one of those who is better illustrated in action. Those TIME pictures look so duckfaced.

I absolutely love Jen's new hairstyle, it's a pretty cut and I think she wears it well. The look she wore to the GLAAD awards is perfect, the dress is interesting yet not overly fussy. Not crazy about the nude lip-color that she wore on the red carpet but her lipstick color looks better in the candid shots (like the one with Darren Criss), so perhaps it's just the lighting (or she wiped it off once she was done posing for pictures)?

She looks incredible! What an amazing and flattering cut, she is working it out and shutting it down! Does anyone know why she cut it? Was it for work (X-Men?) or just because she felt like it?

I think it's probably because she felt like it as for X Men she'll be blue and in a wig most of the time.

I love her hair. It highlights her cheekbones and I think it's at the perfect length for her.
