Jennifer Lawrence

I love that she's been taking risks with her style and appearance rather than staying comfortable as the blonde bombshell. I think they've paid off for her, she looks fantastic.

Her hair looks a lot better when it's textured. The bangs could be a little shorter but it's growing on me.

I like that she's going for a more sleek, sophisticated look.

I never thought a pixie could look good on a person without razor sharp cheekbones- but she manages to pull it off!

She went lighter already, with the color, must have not been too happy with it herself! It looks better like this for sure a bit more edge to it.

InStyle always does such a great job with celebrities, I love the noticeable lack of retouching here -- it's nice to see her freckles since everyone has been photoshopping her into this porcelain doll lately, which she is definitely not. She looks gorgeous.

I am not feeling the length at all. It is like she is already at the awkward stage of growing it out, and she just cut it!

InStyle editorials are hit or miss for me, but that's one of their best for any celebrity.

They keep styling her hair like a bad combover on a bald man. But I do like her Instyle shoot, they're finally finding the right balance of more mature but not matronly. I think this must be her agents plan to keep getting her more quality roles intended for older actresses. Considering that she's only 23 that's a huge deal compared to other actresses her age.

I concur; she looks fabulous in the In Style editorial!

Still undecided about her hair, but I think I kind of like it.

My main thing about the pixie (and I don't mean to sound rude, I'm one of Jen's biggest fans!) is that she has a quite round face and chubby cheeks, so I feel the short hair doesn't highlight her best features.

I do think the hair will be great for her in suiting the more mature roles. I'm also glad she's actually allowed to cut her hair that short, as other franchise stars like Emma Watson were never able to.

I'm round faced with chubby checks and have a pixie (which has gotten me more compliments than my long hair ever did). They have to be done right though. Hers seems more trendy rather than an attempt to compliment her face. It should be softer and more balanced. The long side bangs just emphasize her cheeks and not anything else.

I think so much of her sex appeal used to be in her hair. Now that she has cropped it off, that outfit looks too frumpy on her, in my opinion. Hopefully, her stylists will take her new hair style into consideration more when it really counts...
