Jeremy Laing S/S 06 - New York

 Uh, I must be missing something...? The short jackets and the white dress are all right. But in general the collection looks very trend-oriented and unremarkable to me, and I find the more "designed" elements to be tricksy and gratuitous. Those jutting cape details are particularly irksome.

well droogist...
i DID say it wasn't perfect...;)...

so i definitely also see trouble spots...
but it's very good for a newcomer...imo...

:flower:

Aw, now I feel bad. :( You're right, it's a good effort from a newcomer. I guess I was just a tad nonplussed, seeing all the tFSers falling for it like dominoes... :p

like dominoes.........hey, it happens....

i think its quite interesting.....the 'wings' are a little bit awkward, i think..... but different at least....
i think the models are terrible, however....and give absolutely nothing to the clothes....

for some reason it reminds me of a collection circa 2000... i think because of those jutting 'spacey' wings...something you'd see in early Surface magazine.
i guess that look has a soft spot for me because that's when i started to really get into fashion. aside from that, i'm attracted to it because it's so gratuitous and awkward... like paper doll cut outs etc.. i love stuff like that. ^_^

I like it.
The cleanness of the presentation in the photography definitely swayed me tho

I don't like the blah pants, dresses and the projectile at the back but for more pragmatic reasons - how on earth do you sit down for a decent period of time and not ruin the effect???

I do like the back details of the jackets, as well as the swashbuckling possibility of some of the pieces which are like capes/trains without period/costume effect. Mmm..to have the wind in my sail....;)
