thanks for posting the pics and starting the topic space...

*reminder...pls remember to include the city in the thread title...thanks!!..

Very eye-catching. I love how it's complex and robust, yet still clean.

I don't know. This whole 'kitsch' thing doesn't excite or amuse me anymore. I think the talent was there at one point (perhaps before he returned to New York), but the stuff Jeremy does of late is just really banal and uninspiring. You can't build a label out of 'ironic' tees and logoed sweatshirts.

oh...don't tell that to all the wannabe designers out there ...
hahhahaa...there are quite a few of them who seem to be delusional and think you can...

i don't really think jeremy scott has anything to offer women in terms of fashion or clothing...i've never been impressed and rarely even amused...mostly just annoyed...
i was hoping he was gone already...but he keep coming back...and what a turnaround from last season with the whole chains and street gang thing...what?...the ganstas have come out of their cocoons and turned into butterflies?!?...

more than slightly ridiculous...whatever...next please...

Is this fashion? It looks like customs from some middle school play production...

:D so true :D even though.... this may well be the best JS collection to date..

thanks for the pics :flower:

I love the theatricality and I think it looks great, but I have to agree with softgrey and m-o-m here...you cannot build a well running business like this these days....I was hoping for some more wearability too this season cause I think this guy has big potention and I just wished that he would hit big time this time....pitty...

of coarse, I was talking about dior, I can't rember may eb it was s/s 2003 they did sort of kabuki/sport look. I'm not a fan of dior , so i will take Jeremy over them any day, at least he knows it tacky.

M-O-M, you gotta straight Seven out  , I don't know why they keep buying this crap.

^ I'm sure it sells like no tomorrow. They only stock the t-shirts really. But I think people love them. I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole.

Related: Joseph said the new Mercer location won't open until late March/April. But the site looks really cool.

So, is it a basement?

Kind of. I think the actual location has to be totally renovated to make it function correctly. Check it out when you have a chance: 110 Mercer.

I will... right now (meeting my wife for lunch around there) :woot: . I'll post in an hour ;)

The print in that first kimono is actually quite nice, I like it, a bit like Japanese X-mas wrapping paper or something. I'd love to be a black geisha.

Ironic how he finally does something that I find even remotely appealing but I still can't stand him. I mean, he's not a desiger (IMO) more of a performance artist if anything.

whatever you call it, art , performance, provocation, I like jeremy scott & I think he adds something to the fashion world every time. I wish there were more Duchamp-ian types like him, he makes half of the fashion world look boring.
so waht if he screws up sometimes, he took a chance. I think he's an important artist & the way people get upset or disdain him is part of the art.
