HEADING EAST: Come spring, Jeremy Scott will be having a homecoming of sorts. After five years of showing in New York, the designer is taking his runway antics back to Paris, where he made his debut in 1997. It was a decision Scott made two months ago, when he was in the City of Light celebrating his 10th anniversary at nightclub Paris Paris. "Everyone was telling me, ‘Come back, we miss you, bring your show back.' Carine Roitfeld, Didier Grumbach, stylists, photographers....It was just so overwhelming," Scott said, noting he was hit by a tinge of nostalgia. "And you know what? Why not?"

god,he is so full of himself. the writer really hit the nail when they said,"antics" as that's him all the way. no substance at all.

lol...well this opens up a spot in NYC for a more meaningful designer

^haha..true
new york is a good debut place

paris is stuck up, london nobody knows, milan is dying so there's new york

well, i dont know about opening up a spot, the schedule here is already crowded, and for whatever reason......... it seems some of the people here seem to be more enthusiastic about designers coming here from overseas than talents that are based here.

He is really under some disillusion that people think he's that important. He gets on my nerves. I still can't believe Bernhard is friends with him especially after JS ripping him off a few seasons ago.

the sad reality is that he does have some Talent, there was about two or three seasons when he really did some great clothes, but after he left paris, he just became more and more absurd, i will try to find some of his better stuff from his earlier days and post,
a large part of his problem seems to be that he wants to be an entertainer more than a designer.
hopefully paris will bring him back to the point were he showed flashes of brilliance.........

Who cares where he's showing, his clothes suck big ones.

I agree with Zamb in that he wasn't always so...obscure. The pressures of showing in Paris, the risk of embarassment rather, should be productive.

Oh I was joking lol. btw Kim Jones is going to show in NYC this year

Hopefully he will go back to an aesthetic more like what he was doing when he was in Paris.

I'd quite like to see some of his old work from his time in Paris as I'm not familiar with it at all. His Fall/Winter 2002 collection was somewhat nice, but that's it. ^_^

Oh gosh, Jeremy Scott - a name I honestly never thought I'd hear again. Here's hoping it won't be insanity like I've come to expect.

i have just one thing to say
hide the kids

I think his Fall 2006 collection (with the junk food theme) was really inspiring and funny in a good way. Normally I don't care too much about his stuff, but I fell for Fall 2006.
