JEROEN VAN TUYL's ROBIATOR

jeroenvantuyl01.jpg

Rotterdam based designer Jeroen van Tuyl is renown for his use of classic fabrics mixed with modern, slim cuts and tailoring. His collections show a manly silhouette which one could describe as 'urban warriors' yet the detail and craftsmanship reveal a more sensitive side as well. Men can be men in these Dutch designs.

Jeroen’s work will also be on display during the Paris and New York editions of the Dutch Touch Campaign, which is organised by the Dutch Fashion Foundation (DFF). The campaign in Paris runs from April 28th to June 3rd at the Galliera Museum.

Interesting robot-like detail on the pants. I dont think Ive ever seen anything similar before (???)

Looks like something to keep an eye on. Any word on availability in the States?

Don't know if it is... I think it is being sold internationally but probably only to a few selected stores (the House is still very small). Maybe you can email them?

Hm, I like some of it. The first two sets of pictures made me think of CCP and I'm not entirely sure why...probably also because someone once described his clothes as "elegant armor"
Thanks for this alura, I would definitely like to see more & I'll check out his website now.

Like the use of ruching in A/W 04 - 05

I can't say I love this, but it is certainly worth looking at with some interesting aspects. He does the whole simplicity-offest-with-unusual-detail thing very well.

I wonder if these boots were ever for sale though, they look like show pieces but would have been so cool in actual production!
