Pop singer Jessica Simpson set off a paparazzi frenzy when she headed into a Beverly Hills doctor's office, sparking speculation that she was consulting a cosmetic surgeon reports The ENQUIRER.

Turns out Simpson, went to see a psychiatrist.

"No one knows for sure what Jessica discussed, but it was clear that she was seeking help for something very troubling," said an inside source. "Her hand was trembling as she reached for the door, and she looked like she was desperately trying to fight back tears as she went back out to face the world."


Added another source: "It's anyone's guess what the real issue is."
"Jessica's definitely not over Nick."

I can only imagine what was on this girl's list of issues to discuss. I could imagine that her initial meeting went something like this:

"Well, doctor...I am here because my father is a sleazy pervert who made me swear my viriginity to him when I was only a child because he wanted me all to himself. I have a younger sister who with each visit to the plastic surgeon's office, is morphing more and more into another version of me and then has the nerve to write songs about 'living in my shadow'. My film career isn't so hot and movie producers have to stick me in tight a** clothing just to distract away from the fact that my acting sucks so bad. I had a wonderful husband, who may or may not be involved with Natasha Bedingfield, Kristen Cavallari, about 50 strippers, and Vanessa Minillo, but I lost him due to my father's insane jealously over the fact that Nick was the one who got to see my naked in the shower each morning. She's got guts, I'll give her that. Not many stars would openly walk into a psychiatrists office. So many stars would easily deny it, or try as hard as possible to go in a back door or something. She may be ditzy, but at least she's smart enough to get help.

My thoughts exactly. Seeking help takes courage - especially when you consider the stigma associated with it. I'm not a Jessica fan, but I admire anyone willing to get help.

If you send out a message that it is ok to be ditzy and idiotic to a generation of pre-teens -you deserve the flak you get. Plus read the original article. It is brimming with nonsensical Hollywood 'drama' and humour is the only reaction to that... unless you are missing that quality.

I did read the orginal article. What was so dramatical about the article? Wouldn't it make sense for her hands to be shaking in addition to her seeing a pyschatrist? Maybe the girl could be on some medicine to keep her stable, you never know.

Also I'm always in the mood for a good laugh. but blasting someone for seeking help that they feel they need (hell, her whole divorce was spelled out on news stations everywhere, you really can't blame her for breaking down) is harsh and not to mention bitchy.

The These Boots Are Made For Walkin' star was seen leaving a Beverly Hills, California medical clinic on 19 May (06). A source close to the singer tells the US edition of OK! magazine she was seeing a physician and undergoing tests to confirm whether or not she has an ulcer.
