I just saw "Gladiator" for the first time last night. I think it's overrated and I was appalled to see that it won "Best Picture"...also appalled that Russell Crowe won "Best Actor" for it as well (should've won for "The Insider" or "A Beautiful Mind", not this tripe). Joaquin was really fantastic in it, though, as Commodus. He stole every scene he was in and out-acted Russell by far. (I'm not just saying that because Joaquin is a thousand times hotter; I'm serious.)

Anyway, some screencaps, from joaquin_daily. He made his character so deliciously creepy, it was great. I'm just glad I didn't watch this movie with my brother - holy awkward! EDIT: I also liked how his character seemed to always be on the verge of tears.
