new candid pictures!

Joaquin Phoenix hides behind his cap and heads home after a fun night at Hollywood’s Bardot lounge on Monday (May 5).

JustJared.com spies spotted the 35-year-old actor sitting on the patio watching his older sister Rain´s band Papercranes, perform live. Joaquin and pal Casey Affleck
were seated on the patio — front and center — sipping Ketel One and Stella’s. Nearby sat actress Daryl Hannah.

The documentary or mockumentary he did with Casey Affleck, the one supposedly showing his transition into a rap phase or his meltdown, will be released by Magnolia Pictures sometime in the fall, maybe even September, this news per Deadline Hollywood.

Joaquin Phoenix to Play Leonardo DiCaprio's Lover?

Joaquin Phoenix is the top choice to play the lover to Leonardo DiCaprio’s J. Edgar Hoover in the Clint Eastwood directed biopic, Hoover.

With a script by Milk’s screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, Hoover explores the relationship between Hoover and his reputed paramour and protégé, Clyde Tolson. None of the deals have yet to be finalized, according to New York Magazine.

Casey Affleck recently told Jay Leno that while people claimed to be worried about Joaquin during the filming of his documentary-esque film I’m Still Here, that was not the case. “While it was happening, people were happy just to mock him,” he said.
