John Peel Dead

so sad...he really was a pioneer and brought so many talented musicians to the forefront that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. He will be truly missed....
I couldn't tell you how many John Peel Sessions records I had growing up. ( damn garage sale while I was away....)

It's very sad.Never will I listen to 'Teenage Kicks' the same way again...

what a shock - he was quite young. I liked his objectivity & that he was a nonconformist. His voice was so distinctive & northern. I'll miss it on radio & tV. He didn't seem impressed with musicians for the sake of it.

I was always a fan of A Life of Grime.

farewell Mr Peel.

For everything he did to/for music in general and punk in particular:  RIP

I can't believe that he is dead :( it's very very sad, he was only 65 too, and he seemed so much younger to me also.

I'll really miss hearing him on the radio. :(

Really? That's so sad!
My condolences to his wife and children.

I don't know this guy, but it is always sad when someone dies so may he rest in peace and all my condolances go to his family and friends :flower:
