Johnny Depp rescues friend, tells would be mugger to ‘straighten up’ his life

Actor Johnny Depp recently stopped a crime in progress on the streets of Los Angeles as his friend was being robbed. The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star also had a piece of advice for the would-be mugger.

The criminal, armed with only a broken bottle, approached Depp and his friend, singer Stephen Jones, demanding money.

According to British tabloid, The Sun, Depp intervened before his friend could be victimized by the mugger—who immediately recognized the film icon and said “I ain’t stealing from Captain Jack,” referring to Depp’s character in ‘Pirates.’

As the thief dropped his makeshift weapon and began to flee, Depp gave him some money and told him “Straighten up your life.”
