I hate the fact that Depp can't admit that he's after the $$$ with these films.

I dont think it's the money...it's the character, well what do I know But I think he really enjoys playing jack, and instead of really caring at all about the hype and whatnot...he's going to keep playing Jack for his own self-ish love of Jack.... I dont know if that made sense or not, but he seems to not really care about his career....anymore.
This is going to sound odd..but Im actually getting sick of seeing Johnny everywhere...and seeing how everyone kisses his *** so much these days...treating him like the king of hollywood or somethin

^That would be good. Right now his career is...crap. Except for The Libertine, which maybe had a bad screenplay and a bad director, but the acting was superb. And it definetily was not a commercial success nor a "respected" film. It was just deemed as bad and weird, which used to make a good Depp film in the past.

You're right, he is overly over-exposed (Teen Choice Awards...oh Lord!) and everyone is kissing his *** and writing stuff à la Vogue US on him. He used to be quite hated. Now even respectable film critics don't seem to say a bad word about him.
