I think he made a step forward in the right direction this season. I've always had a soft spot for his space-age aesthetic, and I'm glad to see it's more refined this time around (although I did leave out a lot of the more agressively Star-Trekky looks - he hasn't given them up completely). I suppose in general this collection still qualifies as "difficult," but it's also quite modern and unique. Imho.

I much prefer it to his last collection. I really like it, def a step in the right direction.

I wasn't really a Jonathan Saunders fan coz I find his stuff really hard to wear. But I absolutely love this. I love the colours and the woven dresses. This is just lovely!

i was always a Saunders fan so im pleased with what i see so far. i adore his shapes and silohettes they can cover a range of bodies plus the colour combos aren't bad either.

I always thought Jonathan was a bit of an overhyped print-maker who's just trying his hand at clothes....but perhaps I was a bit hasty??

This is really lovely! I'm loving the star-burst splattered dresses....and the woven bits as well.

Interesting! I like most of his stuff here, less geometric prints. Except the plaited ones looks a bit...um, not appealing.
Love post1 #1,4,6, post4 #1,2,4

(Thx, Droogist!)

I love it! Very beautiful. No wonder he's always been Maria Luisa's favorite. No so much colorful-print as before, maybe he's trying to redefine himself?

^^i have to agree, space....
it all sort of reminds me of some kind of poisonous eel......
slippery and unreliable and with very strange coloring....

those golds and blues and all that shiny fabric....
no, i dont like this....

:ermm:

ahhh I love it! His clothes are always so graphic. That first dress  In fact most of the dresses are gorgeous.

I only like the 4th and 5th dress posted. It's too much of a hodgepodge for me. He made a step in the right direction, now he needs to focus on how to execute the ideas, unless this is really what he had in mind :p

i too like his signature spacey, graphic aesthetic. i don't think this is necessarily better than past collections, although there are some really strong pieces. i like the two dresses in the middle and the last dress on post #2. the color combination really works on the middle strapless dress on post #4. the rest of his stuff is on the fence... at least he hasn't gone stale.

His Bauhaus-art-style leanings always override any uncertainties of mine.

I like it!^_^ Simply put. I can't put my finger on it right now (possibly because I just got out of the Michael Kors S/S 06 thread :p )
But seriously intrigued...
