Josephine Skriver

Such a naturally gorgeous girl - I think the brown has hurt her season, but mainly I think she lacks variety! Her face (while always flawless) bores me in editorials, and doesn't emote on the runway either. With all the new 'it-girl' models coming up, it seems one needs more than a pretty (super pretty) face.

She started slowing last season so I guess she thought dying her hair may help. I am a fan of true beauty models not the edgy, "unique" looks. I have met her and she is so lovely. I hope she can go back to blond and do better. I still think true beautys can have a longer career even if it ends up more commercial as true beauty is rare.

She I believe she still get lots of work, but on the runways has slowed. She will be fine. Making $$$.

One of her problems with getting signed with an agency at the beginning was that she was considered "too pretty"/"too femme looking" for a model. It seems like designers and casting directors are really demanding that "tomboy"/"handsome" model these days...so it's just pushing Josephine out. Really, Josephine is still pretty much on a new face level.

It is a fact of fashion life that after a couple of seasons, the number of shows can diminish, but I wouldn't say that her career is slowing down. A YSL beauty campaign is a sign of strength, as few girls can actually translate from runway into high end campaigns.
