styleJust when we thought Paris had maxed out on its supermodel sightings, Freja Beha Erichsen caused us to audibly gasp when she opened Louis Vuitton on the final day of shows. Sure, seeing Gisele Bündchen close Balenciaga and the high-wattage cast at Balmain earlier in the week were definite highlights, but for true model obsessives, it’s difficult to top a surprise appearance by Erichsen, who has been absent from the runways since Spring ’12. Among the other noteworthy ladies in the LV lineup were Liya Kebede, Maggie Rizer, Marte Mei van Haaster (who took a break this season to focus on school), and scads of newcomers including closer Rianne von Rompaey and Julia Bergshoeff. While Bergshoeff also walked Miu Miu later that day, we wish she had done more shows and taken a less exclusive route. Her only other Fall outing was Proenza Schouler.
She is in New York and a few days ago she was working at Pier 59 Studios... Prada campaign maybe?
Proenza Schouler Launches Swimwear Line - Designer duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez debuted their brand’s first swimwear line at their Resort 2015 Preview Presentation yesterday reports InStyle. The swimwear line from Proenza Schouler, which is distributed through swimwear manufacturer Swimwear Anywhere, is said to consist of 20 styles ranging from bikinis, one-piece suits and pareos that will have designs inspired by their runway collection, some archival prints in addition to inspiration from the surfing and skateboarding ethos.
“We have wanted to do a swimwear collection for a while”, said the designers. “We have always been influenced by surf culture and being outside in nature-the ocean has been a constant source of inspiration. The idea of doing swimwear was a natural evolution for us, and many of the pieces are inspired by runway looks and archival prints from past collections.”
