Julia Nobis

Does anyone know if she was exclusive for Valentino couture or was she only able to walk that show?

She does look like a Vermeer painting, only more surreal and ethereal.

Yes! So good to see her in the editorial after no campaigns this season (yet). Looking perfect in the outfit she wore at Céline.

More emotion/expression in her face wouldn't kill her but she looks good and glad to see her part of such a stellar cast of girls.

Catwalk queen Nobis a class act

International supermodel Julia Nobis, back home in Australia to walk for Myer in its spring/ summer 2014 in Sydney last night, is having quite an influence on her pretty young colleagues.
The blonde Bondi girl, who now calls New York home, is known to hit the books between catwalk shows as she studies for a bachelor of science.
"I'm one of the few who is studying at the same time as modelling. It seems I have inspired quite a few of the other girls. It's actually really funny, they're like 'You know what, maybe I'll do an online course that sounds great'."
Jennifer Hawkins is also a fan of the scholarly catwalk queen, attracted to her relaxed nature.
"I love her, she's great," Hawkins said. "She's a really, really cool chick. I like it when they're not too fussy and not a prima donna and just want to have fun. I love that!"
Despite having appeared on covers and catwalks the world over, Nobis achieved instant global fame earlier this year when her father *Eddy * very publicly leapt to her defence.
When a shot of her on the cover of the New York Times' T Magazine, right, prompted criticism that she was "anorexic" and "disgusting", Mr Nobis bit back.
"I hope that one day, if you ever have a daughter, and she is a 20-year-old med student putting herself through uni, that you can be as proud of her as I am of my daughter each and every day," he wrote online.
"She's paying her way through university by working damn hard . . . she sat her chemistry exam in Paris between shows last time and got a high distinction for it. Like I said, I'm proud of her."
Nobis said she was embarrassed at first but remained delighted by her gallant dad. "It was like 'That's was really sweet but just leave it alone'," she told AAA.
"It's always when you have the cool parents that it's the most embarrassing, you know what I mean?"
She said her dad didn't tell her until after he'd attacked her detractors. "He sent me an email. It was so cute."
Nobis said she was the "least fazed out of everyone" by the cruel comments about her appearance, but conceded modelling had helped her develop a thick skin.
Although she once declared she'd never live outside Sydney, Nobis, who is expected to be on the cover of Vogue Italia next month, is loving the New York lifestyle.
"It's where I live, it's where I work," she said pragmatically. "Whenever I'm over there all I want to do is be home and whenever I'm here all I want to do is be back there. I can't win."
When she's not hitting the books, Nobis loves listening to -and playing - music. "I recently bought an electric keyboard, so I've been playing on that heaps and playing lots of guitar."

From Style bistro and pic from fashionising.com
Julia Nobis bared breasts and tattooed skin are as much the stars of the latest Superfine campaign as the denim pieces she’s modelling. And why shouldn’t they be? If advertising is about portraying the lifestyle, the aesthetic, the soul of a brand – about creating desire to be a particular thing – then Superfine’s edginess and attitude are what’s on sale, not just pairs of jeans.
Inspired by David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust alter ego, the brand’s rock’n'roll aesthetic is on full display in the autumn / winter 2013 imagery. Nobis sports pieces beyond the super-skinny silhouette and into the realm of houndstooth flared pantsuits, oversized coats and open-weave knits. The denim pieces that do appear set themselves apart from the pack with printed details, laser treatments and marbled washes.

Catwalk queen Nobis a class act

Love this interview, thanks for posting. Was waiting to hear her reaction about the "controversy", glad to hear she's as unfazed and chill as would be expected  and I hope she uploads a video of her playing her new keyboards soon :mowhawk:
