Julia Saner

New interview with Julia in Swiss-German ;)

She says she didn't realize how huge FW was for her until she went on the internet after Fashion Week was over and saw all her pictures all over the web. She also says it's true that the biggest struggle for models at the shows are the shoes. She says the ones at Givenchy were the worst and that the models would lie on the floor as soon as they got backstage and crawl because they were too painful to walk in
She also says she doesn't have anything planned for the new year yet but hopes it will be as successful and positive as this one.

There's also a print interview in German with her on the website of Berner Zeitung:

Geez, why can't they make the interviews in German, I can't understand anything from Swiss-German :p

I loved her in the interview, so natural and lovely.

Haha, I find it rather adorable  But I agree: very hard to understand.
I always love her in interviews though. She seems indeed very natural, laid back and timid. As if she really isn't aware how beautiful and in demand she actually is.

Sometimes it sounds like Schwäbisch with lot's of schs, those are the parts I understand but if I don't conectrate all I get is chrschrchchr chrsch schchr. That being sad, I just notcied her stunning polaroids.

Not sure if I would give her a beauuty contract but I realized how natural she looks as if she has never done anything to her hair, I find the color to look a little unusual these days and I like that!

^I have a professor at University who speaks Schwäbisch, we all don't understand him  German and Swiss-German dialects are a funny thing. Hessisch and Bavarian are the worst, so difficult to understand, haha.

^ Well.... then I guess you have never heard some Austrian dialects before :brows: Because if you've ever visit Tirol or Vorarlberg: you won't get very far with an understanding of German

But sorry for OT haha. Anyone knows when the couture shows are taking place? I'm excited to see if Julia will show up (expecting it anyway...)

Thanks for posting the interview! :flower:

I don't understand a word of it (besides ya, backstage, & fashion week  ), but seeing her in motion is always a joy

My grandmother and my ex-bf's family are Austrian, for some reason I find that much easier to understand. Maybe it's more similar to Swiss

Couture shows are in January. I'm not sure there's a schedule for them yet though.

There's another cute new video interview with her in Swiss-German on Glanz und Gloria:
http://www.glanzundgloria.sf.tv/Nac...ia-Saner-Essstoerung-und-Drogen-Nicht-mit-mir!

She talks about how exciting this time is for her and that she's happy she gets to spend Christmas with her family. She likes many things about modelling especieally travelling and meeting new people but finds it hard to be alone so often. She says she tries to eat healthy and exercice a lot because there's a lot of competition when you work as a model internationally so she tries to stay fit and look good. She also says she didn't have a boyfriend back at school and doesn't have one now either and she prefers being single.

and one more:

well, basically the same as in the other interviews...BUT they say she shot several :woot: campaigns, which they're not allowed to mention yet...:yuk:
julia's also telling that she worked with the following photographers:

testino (the editorial for american vogue, alongside three other girls)
two times with david sims (i guess one of the shootings was valentino, no idea about the other one though)
greg kadel (maybe an editorial for numero or maybe vogue germany)
Indlekofer & Knoepfel (could be an editorial for vogue germany or paris as well)
