Love these two! So glad they showed

There's a danger with clothes constructed from re-cycled garments that they will look exactly like what they are and consequently resemble the first design forays of a foundation course design student. Oh look! A sleeve protruding from a trouser leg. No-one's ever done that crazy sh*t before.
The Junky Styling posse has wisely managed to avoid that pitfall and whilst the origins of many of the pieces are still evident, they enhance rather than detract from the final item.
On a makeshift stage outside the Junky Styling shop off Brick Lane a mixed bag of photographers, journalists and passers-by assembled to watch as non-model models paraded an extensive collection.
Menswear includes some fun 'hoodies' made from old shirts which button high on the neck with micro hoods in the same shirt fabric. Also fun, if a little chilly, are the outfits comprising high-waisted trousers and braces with just a little bit of shirt fabric to cover the chest.
For girls there are great dresses made from old Hermes-style silk scarves, knitted together to create geometric bag structures. To avoid looking twee, they are strapless and held in place top and bottom with stretch jersey bands and sporty drawstrings. Speaking of twee, Miss Marple pleated tartan skirts and jackets probably last worn at the annual Women's Institute do had been transformed into great Westwood-alike mini dresses.
Our favourite item is a black knitted dress made from two cardigans with a neckhole cheekily revealing the belly button. Don't believe us? Check the photos!

That's too bad susie. Looks like a good collection from what I can see in these images....I do wish there was some fuller shots. But I enjoy the details.

even though not always 'original' it's a real 'intelligent' collection and surprisingly well made.. i love designers who pay real attention on well made details

I know exactly what you're saying,Lena! I mean look at the brilliant seam-work in that particular oxford shirt....I adore detail like that. I can't really remember the background on these two in terms of training but it seems one or the other if not both had some kind tailoring/dressmaking training at least. But to me their work is so close to the kind HC/bespoke quality that Marc Le Bihan and MMM(both love to recycle too!) posses in their work....
