Junya Watanabe Man F/W 05.06 Paris

^ afaik, the outerwear is running true to size...maybe even a little small? My husband's a size 44 and has one of this season's parkas in an S, plus he tried on about a gazillion other jackets in the shop, and the smalls all either fit or were slightly large on him. So my guess is that you'd be an L, or maybe an M in some styles. :flower:

droogist is right. i managed to try few of them too, baffled to buy the sport padded/goretex jacket and ended up frustrated upon realizing that i could never wear them when i'm back home.

I'm not really a fan of the Junya jeans this season...they just seemed like basic Levi's with nothing special about the treatments or distressing...i didn't really like the flag/alpine slogans on the jeans either. The leather Levi's tag was a cool touch, but not enough for warrant the $600+ price tag.

Isnt't that ridiculous?! It's $640 here, it's simply ********. Junya's prices are getting to be too high. I understand that these fabrics are expensive, but not that expensive!

^^I agree actually. The jeans are nothing special - i.e. they're Ok but at £300!? They are not slevedged, the denim is too soft and the prints are a bit dodge.

On sizing, I'd say that this collection is mroe or less true to size. I'm a 38 (48 in Europe) and size M fits OK, if a little too big. L is definately too big for me and small works OK with some of the jackets, but M is the right size.

Yeah the fact they weren't even selvedge also bothers me. I'm generally not a fan of non-selvedge designer jeans that cost $500+...that's why John Galliano, Dolce & Gabbana, Dsquared jeans are all a rip off to me. The quality isnt even there, you're really paying for the name more than ever. Some of Dior's $400 range non-selvedge denim is quality enough, but if I'm payin Junya/Yohji type prices for denim you damn right I want selvedge, Spotted Horsecraft distressing, the whole nine! :innocent:
