JW Anderson Men's S/S 2021 London

A bit meandering you've got Kansai Yamamoto-ish jumper, a 90's windbreaker which seems a bit passé by now, Simone Rocha's chintzy tapestry...

The discharge printing seems more in tune with his brand, the comic motifs are pretty amazing, the hand knit made to resemble something that his own grandmother gifted to him is nice too. The real takeway are probably the capes at the very beginning.

The presentation of this collection as a physical catalogue, with a mask, a poster and such was a very good idea and it makes the most out of the current situation.

Very Junya, Comme Tao...etc. I like this because it’s not just a brand where you buy a tshirt. It’s a real proposition of style. It’s the Anti-Dior .
While I don’t know how many guys will be brave enough to wear those silhouettes, I know there’s a lot for me.

I don't know anyone else who can walk the line between the sublime and the silly with such nonchalance. But like always with JW, you're fascinated and left wanting for more, at the same time.

The first few pieces, the capes especially, are winners but then his more facile side seems to take over: the pom-pom knitted top, the big logo-ed sweaters, the garish color block wind-breakers...is there going to be an end to his penchant for the infantile?

Whenever I see another camp and flamboyant men collection from this guy, I wonder the same thing: does he secretly wear this at his home, when no one can see him??

Because in his public appearances he always wears "masculine and discreet" clothes (I also wonder if this is also written on his Grindr profile...).

Such a disconnection!

Crying at this read.

Yes! Camp used in his mainline is so weird for me. When it gets distilled in Loewe it's so much better.
