JW Anderson Menswear S/S 2023 Milan

Very gimmicky. What’s the point?
And can we talk about what JWA himself is wearing? He would be profiled if he entered his own shop or Loewe store in this outfit.

This is ridiculous.
He better redeem himself for Loewe.

When you want to be arty...but you end looking like "Art Attack: Let´s make a fashion show!"...

Anderson has seemingly become a repetitious bore. Near exact looks one after the other really dilute any form of impact he's trying to achieve here. All of this ends up as a pile of sad and confused clothes.

So, it looks like he got a memo from the merchants or product developers to focus on casual wear: jeans, sweats, tees, etc. Which could be cool. Could be.

But... at best these are all awkward and goofy, at worst it is trendy and gaudy.

It's like high production value Jeremy Scott. A flop of a collection. A wonder dud.

The only good thing about this collection are the cropped double breasted jackets made by his chef d'atelier who was previously the head pattern cutter of Celine when Hedi Slimane took over. That he has such talent at his disposal through LVMH is a bit tragic when you look at the collections he is putting out there.

I still consider J.W. Anderson to be one of the most overrated designers of our time and collections like this one do nothing to prove otherwise.
