I thought Karen was going to be doing Paris shows. She wasn't in Viktor and Rolf or Christian Dior and she usually does those. I hope she at least does Alexander Mcqueen.

^ Is she in Paris now..? I've thought she suits for V & R. She didn't walk for any show in Milan.. I hope she's not going to stop walking on runway, except in NY.

I've only seen one other pic of Karen smoking and it was from about 3 years ago. Unlike most models, I don't think she smokes anymore.

I really wanted to see her at McQueen. The show really needed her. Her look suits for its mood perfectly.

Yeah it's strange she has a showcard. Maybe she got sick or changed her mind. I hope it's not the former.

Yeah, it's too bad she wasn't in any more shows. I would have really liked to see her in one of McQueen's dresses. Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll be doing some more editorials soon.

I wanted to show that natural fragility and beauty can survive in this urban environment.”

For the record, your muse is not Gwen Stefani…
“Gwen is the muse for her own line, L.A.M.B., so when I’m designing for that, then absolutely she’s the one I’m seeing, but for my work, I have four muses: Karen Elson, Suzanne Bartsch, Sara Sophie Flicker, and Sara Ellison, who is this amazing stylist.”

What are the criteria?
“First, you must have your own style. Do it your way.

What’s the second rule?
“There has to be a matching point, like, my clothes have to fit into your lifestyle. When I’m preparing for a show, certain sections of the runway collection will be designed for certain people.

Okay, number three?
“Well…you have to be known for something, but transcend it. Like Karen is a model, but come on, she also sings, she’s also a real personality. Sara Sophie Flicker is an acrobat, a performer, but really, of course, she’s everything.”

Last rule?
“Be available for me! Seriously, come into my studio, breeze through, give us energy.”

Do you let Karen Elson veto your collection?
“Umm, I’ll let her say, ‘No! Make this dress long!’ and “Ooh! Make this dress in a new color!’”
