Karen Ferrari

I have checked about 5 times and there is no thread on her. South African born, Karen is of Italian and Dutch extraction and considers London her home. I would not call her a supermodel-she came about during that weird post model period of 94-97, when most of the supers' moment had passed and Amber, Shalom (who I consider post supermodels) and others were doing eds and ads. For a time, you could not open a mag and not see Karen in a major ad. She booked Calvin Klein and DKNY campaigns among others. Now, she is an actress on the English soccer soap, Harchester, which airs on Sky one. I am not sure why I loved her so, because I have never really been a "blonde" person, but Karen really seemed to stand out.

I don't remember her but I do remember that Elle beauty shot (3rd pic, 1st post) so something about it stuck. Maybe it's that typical haphazard messiness that epitomizes Elle at its best.
