Born and raised in California, Judi Lambert began her fashion career working for Nordstrom, but left retail soon after to pursue her dream of designing. Launched for fall 2007, Lambert's inaugural Karta collection featured softly structured silhouettes with jewel-embellished necklines inspired by old Hollywood glamour.

I've seen Karta stuff on shopbop, nordstrom.com, and neimanmarcus.com..

I like a lot of the stuff but a lot of it seems to be made of 100% chalfis polyester (is that different from regular polyester??) which seems to be a deterrant for purchasing (i know leyla ultimately didn't buy a tunic because of the material)

That being said..
has anyone gotten anything from Karta so we can get some firsthand feedback on the material, cut, comfort, wearability etc?

good idea to post about this chrissy,
it is true i didnt get it because the pics on shopbop did not look appealing but i must say the pictures on netaporter do portray it great! that tunic DOES look great.
so i would love to see someone with some feedback.
i know UNIQ was interested in it.

From what I've seen on shopbop, they note that a lot of the pieces run small and they recommend sizing up..

I feel like I have been seeing this new brand all over, especially the mini dress below. I really like her silhouettes, use of beading and patterns. I saw one of the hosts on E! News the other night wearing a Karta dress...it was black & white w/ curved stripes. It looked really cute on her!

I didnt buy the dress for the same reason- I think one of us should buy it for feedback reasons hahaa- I remember a few weeks ag0 a cousin of mine was wearing the black sleevless dress- I had no idea it was Karta and it looked quite cute on her..too bad I didnt touch the material
