(NEW YORK) Plunging into her first New York show season, IMG model Reid is learning the ropes with a little help from Rag & Bone...***
Friday was a busy day. I started the day with a callback to see Proenza Schouler, then rushed around to six other castings and a fitting. At 3:00 I had to be at Gotham Hall for my first Fashion Week show, Rag & Bone. The hair and makeup were both really cool with a sort of dirty, yet still pretty look, and the clothes were definitely things that people could wear every day. The location also matched the clothes perfectly, and the atmosphere made the show really exciting. I was kind of nervous at first, but once I got out there, it was fine. I also got really good feedback from my booker, Lisa at IMG, about my walk, so it was a great way to start the week.
On Saturday, I started out with a makeup test for Tibi. After that, I went to a few castings, and then met up with my mom and brother, as they flew in Friday night to come see my shows. It’s nice to have them here and be able to show them what I do every day. Later on, I hung out with all the models from Mode, my agency back home in Calgary. My manager, Kelly Streit, is in town to see us all in the shows, and he held a dinner so that we could all get together and hang out. It was lots of fun, and a great way to relax before a busy week starts again.
Right now, I am sitting at the Araks show and have just finished hair and makeup—I’ll let you know how the show and the rest of my day goes later!
Oooooh, who gave her a blog?! Brilliant idea. Best of luck to her with the Proenza Schouler casting, that would be a very nice boost, since its such a focal show in NYC. Bianca, as usual, thanks for your sleuthing
She looks great again! I wish that she would take like 1/4" off her bangs though so that we could see her beautiful eyes on the runway more. She looks AMAZING at United Bamboo!

But it’s her first runway season, so that’s alllll about to change.
Bonne chance, Reid!
