It doesn't work that way w/ VS. once you shoot with them they own the copyrights to the picture just like any other photographer would. This means they can keep on using this same picture with their merchandise for ages.

It's only gone viral because of that rude stylist's comments about Kate not being a "VS type" of model, even though before the fame she was just another swim/lingerie model who wanted to work for the company.
