We adore Kate Winslet for her acting, her style, and now we salute her impressive diversionary tactics! Kate opted to stay on the East Coast yesterday and miss all those boring Oscar shindigs. We snapped this foto as Kate was having a late afternoon lunch at Pastis restaurant in the West Village in New York City. While everyone was watching the front doors at Pastis, Kate had four waiters create a barrier so she could slip out. Clever Kate! Luckily our photographer is clever too, and knew where to go to get his shot. Kate rewarded his tenacity with a big smile.
