I love her face and who knows what happened with the NY shows... I do think that-which-shall-not-be-discussed could potentially present a problem in Paris especially but I also think her look is so strong that she'll show up on some major runways... at least I hope that is the case!

She looked crazy at Marc Jacobs but it's not her fault. Sure her walk needs improvement, but she's new. She will certainly have "other problems" but model standards are crazy anyway. I love this girl!

Kelly Mittendorf in print is extremely lovely, but on the runway.... rather little girl playing dressup.

ETA: It's not like she didn't book something else. A little bit understatement in NY doesn't hurt, Milan/Paris are the places who count. A slow but steady start in NY + big bang in Paris is rather cool than the other way round.

MTE, I am reading these comments and going . If you look at her agency, they seem to do this a lot with their new faces. Marilyn NY's other hyped girls did either no shows in NYC or were exclusives/semi exclusives (Mackenzie Drazan, Ros, Julia Zimmer, Valery Ka). Its also possible that she was shooting, caught up with school, had an exclusive that fell through, or just plain unavailable.

I actually don't see any bigger problem with her walk. Given she only did two shows so far, it's definitely not bad.

You do make a very good point Masquerade... although it def wasn't school since she was widely seen at castings...

Kelly did a jump in celebration of her runway debut! I love her energy and the fact that she doesn’t hide her youthful enthusiasm! I gave her a hug and she was all smiles and happy after the show! I missed the Marc Jacobs show because I had a flight to catch, but congratulations to Kelly for closing the show and NYFW! <3
