I'm so fascinated by the way the modelling industry works in 2015, and how different it is to 5 or 10 years ago. Social media is SO ingrained in the way we live now that to be a top model in 2015 you not only have to be incredibly beautiful, you also have to have a huge following behind you and essentially be a celebrity. The celebrity aspect trumps the beauty aspect, hence why models like Cara, Kendall, and Gigi are the TOP models of the moment when they're clearly not the most stunningly beautiful. It's not just about the models looking beautiful in your clothes, it's about how many people will SEE the models looking beautiful in your clothes (ie how much of a following they have), because a models fan base is the best advertising a designer could ask for. I'm not saying it's good or bad, I'm just making an observation. I think it's incredibly fascinating how the modelling industry has evolved.
