have you checked out the Kerastase ratings on makeupalley.com? if it's coming down to which masque/conditioner (some people do use them as conditioners) to buy, there are detailed reviews on there to help you decide. I would look at the Masque Oleo-Relax if you have thick hair.well, i apologize for using the wrong term even though it's clear you understood what i was asking.
marchessa - thanks for the suggestion. the stylist thought it would be good for my hair, but we didn't really get into which one and i knew there were a few to choose from, but there are even more than i thought! at $50, i'd like to make a somewhat educated decision.

I know exactly what you mean when you say your hair roots are like ginseng roots. My hair starts tangling up like crazy right already at the hair roots at the back of my neck
