The argument of old songs versus new songs or old fans versus new fans, definitely gets old. I like every single album of theirs, and I'm not going to stop liking them just because they're more popular now, as long as they still make good music, I don't care that much.
However, I guess the reason why I don't always like seeing at some of these celebrity type scenes, is how it might influence their music. When I think about "celebrity" singers and musicians, so many of them, have weak, shallow, poorly written lyrics and songs, (which admittedly they don't always write themselves), but if they're writing from life, and all they do are these silly little Hollywood/celebrity type things, go to glitzy clubs, get fake tans, and bleach their hair, etc... well no wonder those things don't ever lead to the production of profound music.
I can at least say, as an artist, what I soak in from my surroundings, and environment, and experiences, and from the people I'm around, again and again shows through in my art. In the case of KOL, I think their unique background and childhood, and such as, influenced their music in a refreshing and interesting manner. And I just don't want them to start living a cardboard copy celebrity lifestyle, because I can easily see their music getting stale from that.
I don't know if this makes any sense here, and maybe I'm well wrong, but I really love not only their music, the sounds themselves, but the lyrics to their songs, and hope their fame doesn't cause them to completely loose who they are, or cause them to loose their good taste...they say you can't learn good taste, but I just hope their good taste isn't also something that can be lost.
Okay, end rant, sorry.

You know I can't help but include my two cents.
