Kirsi Pyrhonen

Thank you so much for the scans! Her face is just spectacular, I could look at it all day. Is it weird I like the fact that she has the same facial expression in all her pictures? I feel like it adds to that unreal vibe I get from her

I have read plenty of complaining comments about that, but I personally didn't even take notice of it till it got mentionned - it still don't actually, I must be too distracted by her enchanting face  Those snaps are superb, Kirsi most definitely looks like she comes from another planet ; flawless proportions and otherworldly features you ain't gonna forget!

I actually think Kirsi gives very subtle variation in her expressions.
Stunning polaroids. Her features are so captivating...

Looking closely at the Balenciaga ad it seems like she's standing on some sort of a platform? Seems like an odd thing to to for a photo of two equally tall girls. But I do like her leaning forward pose, even if it makes her seem a bit awkward.

Thank you for posting!

The Balenciaga cast is just wonderful, the girls complement each other in 100% and Kirsi is like a dream in it

love the face, but not enough emotion and variation for me...

i roughly agree.... but i think she has enough time yet to be better and better. she has pretty good facilities, so i hope she'll be better: i like her unique face too, but yeah, sometimes she's boring a bit...

Yeah, models like this fascinate me. People go crazy over her because her face looks a certain way, not because she actually does anything with it (in my opinion). I never want to warm to those kind of models (although Devon Aoki is an example of one I'm guilty of *loving*) they get so much credit for simply how their face looks, not because they do anything with it. Lily Donaldson is the perfect example of this to me, and I never, ever could warm to her or like her. To me, Lily is like a beautiful statue that can be posed in any form, but I could never get behind her modelling. Maybe because I'm biased against her 'look'.

Kirsi has a cool face, I just want to see her do more modelling... I certainly don't get the hype yet.

^ I adore Lily and Devon...and Kirsi, but I'd never thought of it like that and I think you're totally right

Hmm... that's a very interesting point. I agree that Kirsi hasn't yet shown much variety in her face, but I think maybe she still has a lot of potential. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it would be nice to see how she could pull off one of those cheesy American Vogue editorials where they make the models put on those huge fake smiles. I think the contrast between her icy beauty and that over-sincerity would actually make for an interesting contrast.

Right now I'm willing to let that lack of variety slip because her face is just so fascinating in print. She has something really special, let's hope she can develop into a great model!

I can definitely get behind the point made above ^ But I do enjoy seeing her face regardless

Kirsi will be featured in a Meisel editorial in the September issue of US Vogue :woot:

Kirsi is making her way up, up, up! That's pretty unbelievable the way she snatches up A-list work here and there. As for the editorial per se, I'm not holding my breath for something spectacular coming from US Vogue (even though it's shot by Meisel and in spite of the fact that that publication has been improving).

^IKR! It's incredible. This thread was started half a year ago and she's already snatched up a high profile campaign and appeared in Italian and US Vogue. It's amazing and I'm so happy for her.

And as for her not being a "great" model yet. She's still so new and she's obviously got a lot to learn (new facial expressions especially), but for now it's just great having such a spectacular new face getting all this great work ^_^

Well, the US Vogue spread is going to be pretty interesting. Of course there are celebrities present -eyeroll-
