It doesn't help that she's wearing wayfarers.

I don't think her style is "funky" enough to be wearing such a hat. She just ends up looking more costumey than quirky/ironic. Kirsten works a Sofia Coppola-tasteful-cool vibe--and a hat like that isn't part of that vibe.

It doesn't suit her. I like her style but that hat is obviously not something that goes well with the rest of her
