Koeun Park for Forme 3'3204322896-mens (and womens)wear

^^
but most of those people already have this stuff in their wardrobes from the first time around...cause you don't get rid of these clothes...
they live with you for a long long time...

i feel like the generation who 'just' missed it the first time are the ones bringing it back...
(not that i mind)...

and it's also the younger generation that are listening to and playing 80's style music...
(again, not that i mind)...

true. what better way to make some money..than pull on the heart strings..childhood nostalgia etc that seems to be integrated in someway into everyone's mission statement...it's also like an epidemic..like designer labels was an "epidemic" and now as a reaction or intervention..we are looking for soul in our clothing..i'm going out on a very abstract analogy limb..but think the hard drugs and partying and extremism like you think of the 80's..no wonder nancy reagan championed programs like Dare and the entire country collectively went into therapy.
i was with you up until the abstract analogy...

but i like the part about looking for soul in our clothes...
or maybe 'our souls'

plus i have a song playing on a loop in my head so i can't think too straight right now......

^ ah soft haha. i was trying to say fashion, like everything else, is cause in effect right? fashion goes through epidemics of too much..shoulder pads, puffy taffeta skirts, designer logo mania, etc..and the reaction is similar to a collective therapy..haha..it's wanting to indulge in the absolute oppisete...but in going the other route..i think it takes an extra ten years to straighten out that direction.

hmmm..
very interesting grasshopper...:ninja:...

:p

isn't fashion all about hashing and rehashing? plus, there isn't anything original under the sky... especially with the globality of today's world... as long as the work is beautiful and can stand its own ground, that should be enough, no? always nice to see a newcomer bringing something (even if familiar) another step beyond...

i freaking love you guys...
that is a good observation tott...
it is part of the 80's 'thing'...
and if we go by the 20 yr recycle pattern that seems to hold true..
then this is indeed time for this revival...

and raijin...
rock on!!...did you tell him how fabulous we think his stuff is?!?!...
.....:woot:

Koeun's a "her" i think ^_^

oh...i wonder if that's true...

that would be cool...:D

thanks to softgrey I got to know they uploaded A/W 07.

so here is the collection

.

has anyone seen or worn the items in person? some seem interesting but the bulk seems quite run-of-the-mill but 'rendered' interesting via the beautiful photos...

i think it looks much better in context---
if you go to the website, it has way more impact...

but i like the quietness - especially in some of the menswear...
the long coat is beautiful and i know several men who would wear that well...

the knits seem really scrumptious and i adore that washed and distressed leather jacket ...

personally, i would definitely wear the blk and grey jkt in post #68-bottom right...
it would slip perfectly into my wardrobe...

i wish it was more available in the US...
i think it should be carried by IF or linda dresner...
and i would love to see this stuff used in editorials....
it's just begging to be photographed...
:innocent:

...
thanks for posting the images runner....
...

^ scrumptious. ;) Yes, that's precisely the word. B) Superb work. The 'cut and hang' is masterful in each piece, and the 'wearability' is clear and inviting to me. This is a line that allows for movement and accessories, two necessities as far as I'm concerned.

thanks fuuma...it makes sense that pollyanna would carry the line...

i just found out that for spring 08 there will be two new stores in London
Liberty will carry the women's line
Matches will carry the men's line

and i now know of a place in new york that has some of it...
UrbanZen-..Donna Karan's uptown 'concept' store...

i still haven't seen any of this in person...
so i am going to try to get uptown to take a look ...

:flower:...

spring 08 is posted on the site...

i think the women's spring stuff is some of my favourite stuff from forme up until this point...
and i think the pics show the clothes really well...
because they are shot out on the street and so you can just imagine yourself wearing them ...

i know i can...:p
