My friend will be visiting LA and maybe some parts of California soon. Need some shop recommendations especially for mens wear and vintage Levi's. Any help appreciated!

^^^what faust said. I posted a bunch of stores/boutiques in L.a. a while back....the best bet is do to a search....TFS is the Yahoo is Fashion.

well im not so sure about mens stuff but kitson has AWESOME things and many celebrities shop there (shopkitson.com) .. and theres also lisa kline (http://67.153.176.190/lk/www/home.asp?store=mens), fred segal, and intuition (shopintuition.com , 10581 west pico blvd)
