I LOVE lace but I agree with you, fashionmad, on the type of lace preferred.

Do you know how much I wanted that Lover Black Magick dress????? When I first saw it I was like !!!!! They have it in sky blue as well but I wanted it in white and it sold out before it even hit the shops !! I was hoping I could maybe get it custom made..... I did, however get the French lace cami, which I'm yet to wear .

i got something similar from foley & corinna- not from their store line innocent: ) but one of the beautiful, over-priced victorian pieces they carry. it's falling apart, a bit small these days, almost in tatters-- and i absolutely adore it.

i've also fallen into mad lust with said dress. lover reminds me a bit of mayle. it has a similar feel- ethereal and romantic, edgy, but delicately so (and a decided departure from being sickly sweet or overly trendy). just the right mix of lolita and grown-up sexiness, 60's/70's and victorian/edwardian vibes.

As always, lace should be done with a delicate touch. I like mixing it with military to tough it up a bit.

I am terribly unphotogenic, but here is some examples of me in lace at an "alternative" frat formal. The best part of the outfit were the red marc jacobs rock n roll pumps. Again, i am really unphotogenic. I have been wearing lace for quite sometime now, and have some cute outfits I'd love to post. If i still feel okay about having my photo on the net, I can post more photos with different lace outfits. or, if someone could photoshop pics for me so i wouldn't be putting my poor friends on display or showing fugly shots of my self i could put some more up :-O:

i love this look - all the pieces peacelover posted on the first page almost made me weep...the hermes and chloe pieces and the balenciaga...it's heartbreaking.
