^I just went through that article and comments, and what really bothered me was that all but one of the other girls had positive comments, but that is all they wrote for Lakshmi, that she isn't white, it makes me really sad.

At least from what I can see, the polaroid looks nice.

Ugh, preach, hunny. It seriously makes me so sad that there are, like, a grand total of five non-white models on the runway. Some people in fashion are just too lazy to step up to the plate and actually book a non-white girl.

I seriously hate what this James guy said about Lakshmi. I think it's an insult. Even I feel insulted as a coloured person after reading that comment! I agree with what FashionCapital said. I think he's just scared to book a non-white girl for the shows.

^ I agree, what sucks though is that he justified why he didn't choose the white girls (for example with that girl Hanne), but not really why he didn't choose Lakshmi, I mean what kind of justification is that the trend is for white girls .

If he said something like she was too edgy, or her body wasn't right for the designer or something like that, it would be understandable and I wouldn't mind, because those are valid reasons.
