^^ Totally agree! Always had a weird "relationship" to that campaign as i've always seen it as very stereotypical but i am grateful to that Hermès campaign in a way, obviously because that totally launched Lakshmi's career making her a big name. Jean Paul Gaultier clearly loves her so i am just hoping that he took notice of how stunning she looked in his shows and..*fingers crossed* for campaign season

The great thing about JPG is that he goes with what he likes in spite of all the "trends" that go in and out with modeling. Even when the look was blonde, blue eyed and blank faced he (and his casting director) went for his definition of what beautiful was and for me that shows a great deal of strength. If you have a point of view and express it regardless of other people that is very powerful.
Of course it also launched so many great girls that I love so I cannot complain

I would love to see Lakshmi do a wholly unexpected campaign. She looked great at Herrera this season - elegant and ladylike. I could see her doing that in addition to something like Hermes or Givenchy.

I love that at lacoste they put her in a bikini and shorts, she just seems so covered up much of the time so it is nice to see her show off her gorgeous figure.
