Lanvin F/W 12.13 by Steven Meisel

It's amazing! The setting and background seem familiar though
But she definitely catches the eye

I'm all for more diverse castings but I'm not sure this is working.. she doesn't look aspirational or remotely commanding to me, more like forgotten, I think the stare is my main issue.. wish there was a bit more grace or wisdom, which is something that's frequently absent when using very young girls and that makes you wish women of different ages were represented in campaigns as well.

It's been a while I found something by Lanvin well-done so I guess this ad fits their current state quite well..

Agree, someone like Carmen Dell'Orefice would have been a better fit.

love it! she looks so powerful, and that stare of don't mess with me

i think it too its china machado....maybe the concept is using the old supermodels...would be great

The collection was powerful but fun and I think the ad shows that powerful women can dress fun too. I think it's a brilliant campaign and the "model" does a great job at selling the clothes.

So unexpected but so good. I don't know who this woman is but she makes all the other models and campaigns o the season look like amateurs. So much class and fierceness.

China Machado came to mind for me too, but I don't think it's her...
this woman looks more... severe, I guess is the word?

Well, severity is always a good thing to me, but I don't really like this old woman. Although it might have got to do something with the fact that my favourite model was supposed to be in this :innocent:...

Edna Mathieson maybe?

I thought so too, their physical features are nearly identical!

What a Boss B*tch. Her facial expression alone makes me want to sit down quietly and finish my homework.
