It's not the memorable debut and I hope he spoils us because he's a pro, but overall a strong collection nonetheless.

The gray ribbon dress towards the end is stunning. Very Elbaz.

Lanvin was my favourite/go-to brand for years, probably longer than any other, and I still wear pieces by Ossendrijver' on a daily basis.

I only looked at the menswear stills, but I didn't see a single thing I would want to buy at Club Monaco prices -- so that is a complete failure for me.

Yes, actually a very loving homage to 20s Lanvin - the robe de style, for instance. Look 7 is just exquisite.

But overall, what it felt like to me - a collection of the kind of clothes you see in a department store, from which you might pick a piece or two to buy and fall in love with. You wear it maybe three times for a season or two, and then five years later, you look at it again - there's some detail or embellishment that doesn't look current anymore, doesn't fit in with the other things you now wear. And then, you just forget about it.

These deep, rich tones really pulled me in.
I always loved how dark Alber was with the color story at Lanvin; it has so much depth.
I have really loved the leopard styled as a neutral thing that's been going on with menswear this season; they are plugging that as a trend for the season I see across many collections. I have a deep dislike of yellow, but the depth in which it was included in the color story was done thoughtfully, and as some pointed out- there was a seriousness about the collection.

I think this may be one of the stronger showings this season, unexpectedly but I didn't establish a desired outcome.

The coat in look no. 22 is very good. The width of the lapels- pretty. And the length is perfect.

If you mean romantic-evening-style, it's Alber's signature style. Though in the 20's Lanvin was mainly about evening style like all the other brands from that time.

1 Mom and daughter, see their old logo
2 Lanvin was the first brand to embrace the life style. They used to have many products other than apparel....
3 Paris..like all the other Paris-based brands haha

I really really hope Peter could save this mess which Lanvin is facing. Recently the Lanvin boutique in my city is forced to close because Lanvin group wasn't able to pay the rent punctually! Plus they just changed a new CEO.

No distinct point of view, I just see a bunch of clothing you could get at more influential and renown brands.
It's not quiet luxury, it's not maximalist, it's not parisian chic, it's just there...

It is a very solid debut. All the looks offer something interesting. It feels luxurious and "sexy mature" à la Bottega Veneta. Nods to Alber, Lucas and Jeanne Lanvin.
One of my favorite in Paris.

I like how despite the seriousness, the palette is expressive. It really brings elegance to the looks. The few prints were a good surprise.

The shapes and textures are perfect. And the mens and womens fashion are in total sync.

He has my attention! Curious to see where is going now.

I agree that this is a solid debut, and it’s good enough to make me somewhat hopeful for Lanvin again.
I hope Peter can create something more current and with a clearer, more defined POV in the next collections. As a whole, the proposition feels somewhat dated to me and lacks a true wow factor. There are certainly worse people to reference than Alber, but he was a master of his craft—just like Lucas Ossendrijver.

I think the refined opulence of certain looks, particularly the last one, suits the brand well and is worth exploring further.
Interesting to see Joe McKenna styling, he has the ability to make it work.

Really a standout in the Paris week.

It feels very 2013-2016 fashion for me, like a very mid collection of that times from any independent designer brands. I'm only looking forward to Tom Ford by Haider, Sarah Burton's works weren't my taste but let see

he really is the male equivalent of Claire Waight Keller.
similar vibes like her Givenchy. some nice ideas here and there, but something is always missing.
the wow factor, the newness, the urgency of a must-have.

nothing feels as desirable that you dream about owning one of these garments, even they look okay and well made.
it's like your favorite tv series that you binged like mad at the start and loses it's steam as fast as the actors change. so you still watch it because of the good old days, nostalgia yep, or because there is nothing better on tv at the moment. but for sure they cancel the series two or three seasons too late.
let's give him 2 to 3 years to enjoy his paycheck (hope they pay good) before he he will be out and hopefully as lucky as CWK start working for Uniqlo.
he might be good for the holiday collections there
