Lanvin S/S 2008 : Olga Sherer by Steven Meisel

Oh wow, the opposing colors make this striking, in every aspect. She almost looks like she is wearing a blanket of fire, it is very, very, neat!
That's a very interesting observation. I actually called this ad 'witch on fire' when I described it to my friend over the phone!

This is so not what I thought they were gonna do! I was expecting something more in the style of the runway show, with fireworks and ice-cream and neon lights and fun. But at least this is very beautiful! Somehow Lanvin always delivers! I'm really looking forward to seeing more shots. Finally a good campaign!

This is so unexpectedly mind blowing!!!! Lovely, best ad of the season so far, and by a LONG shot too!:heart:

I'm glad someone else feels this way. Maybe the advertisement would be more aesthetically pleasing if Olga's face was cropped out.

that'd be waste of Olga :blink:.I think it is pleasing to the eye as it is.Wouldn't be the same without Olga.

Amen...I'm not a great Olga fan but I have to say she really impressed me with both this and last season's Lanvin campaign ^_^

^^I third that, her particular face expression makes the whole ad more special.

Great ad ! You can always count on Lanvin to do something special!

^^It seems they used Faith's scan for that.

Coming back and looking at this again. ...I just am not tired of it. It's so fierce. Olga brings such majesty to this. I cannot even explain it! It's the pose, the look on her face, the intensity that is softened somehow, it's just. Spectacular. Nothing short of it.

I've never been a big fan of Olga, but this ad has just catapulted her up my list. She works it.

i don't know if the information was posted but Edward Enninful styled this campain...
