Lanvin S/S 2022 Paris

Some of the dresses are Alber-esque, but they fall short in execution. The rest of the collection is quite frumpy and ill proportioned. The DC prints are juvenile and poorly integrated. The one saving grace were the dresses worn by Mona and the previous model. They look more like Tomas Maier for Bottega Veneta than Lanvin. Perhaps that's why I liked them so much. Overall there is too much ease and commercialism in this collection. If you would have told me this was a Resort collection I would believe it. Why is this guy finding it so difficult to find a middle ground. This house is not that difficult to design for. The archives stretch back decades.

I think Cara Taylor looks great. A coat and a lot of legs!
