That's a bit depressing, Louis Vuitton's designs have been awful lately and done nothing for the stars wearing them (Alicia Vikander comes to mind, in fact so does Charlotte Gainsborough) whereas Prada and Miu Miu have been incredible on Lea. Oh well, maybe a change will be interesting

Well, that's depressing. I guess we can say goodbye to those gorgeous custom Miu Miu/Prada pieces. It's gonna be such an inorganic transition considering she hasn't even worn Louis Vuitton since Marc's departure.

On January 12 she will attend the UNICEF Ball in LA with Nicolas Ghesquière wearing a custom-made outfit (obviously by LV). We'll see what they have in store for her.

I'm not sure if Léa and Louis Vuitton is a good idea..
I'm sorry but Louis Vuitton's outfits are kinda ugly..Charlotte Gainsbourg works with them and she often looks awful because the clothes don't suit her.
I hope Camille (Léa's sister) stays her stylist, she has really nice taste!

F**k this ! Honestly her collaboration with Prada was the best in the business I can't believe she left it just for a big fat LV cheque. I doubt she or her sister were unhappy with the Prada/Miu Miu looks.
Nicolas is one of the greatest designers ever so I'm still open to be proved wrong but I just don't think his aesthetic at LV fits Léa at all !! I'm really , really gutted.

Also why Léa and not Adele Exarchopoulos who's also styled by Camille Seydoux and had been wearing an effing lot of Vuitton.

Agreed - Adele did look better than most in LV but perhaps that's just because she pulls off looks really well. Despite Camille's evidently good taste, I think she doesn't have much to choose from when it comes to LV's recent collections

^ Exactly my sentiment. She may be a great stylist but working almost exclusively with one house has a huge downside - you often get what you get and don't have that much to choose from.

Not that Léa isn't wonderful, but it feels so desperate and jarring for LV to poach her when she was still so visibly and exclusively tied to Prada/Miu Miu as of what, three months ago? I mean jeez...she's NEVER worn anything by LV. Why not give it some time, let her make a few appearances in LV and then make the announcement.

she's NEVER worn anything by LV.

She wore LV twice, one during the FW 2013/14 Fashion Week at Vuitton's fashion show, and then at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013 (it was a custom-made gown for the red carpet).

She has always wore different Houses at premieres and major festivals as Alexis Mabille, D&G, Dior, Elie Saab and Cavalli too; Prada has never asked her to sign a contract aside for their 'Candy' perfumes so I'm not surprised at all about the choice. Camille styles her sister quite well, and I'm sure she'll do a good job with Vuitton too.
